Bad feelings - Dire DaysBase camp was every bit as busy as they had expected. People were running around with assorted types of equipment, some scientific, some for photography, some more practical. They came in all shapes and sizes, as did the Tokotas and their handlers that were helping out. Some were from areas like the one that her and Liam lived in, Mana could tell because of the way they dressed. Others appeared to be more nomadic, some she couldn't place at all so they were probably from further away. Of course it would be nice to go around and meet some of these people, learn about their way of life and see how different or similar it was to her own, but they didn't have time for that. Plus they had already picked up one other group, so they couldn't say that they hadn't met anyone? The two Russian brothers would be more than enough company through these few weeks of research.Bad feelings - Dire Days by Pix-san
It was already quite late after a long journey, so the siblings were almost tempted to forgo setting up their camp that night,
A warm introduction - Dire DaysThey were almost at the top, Mana could feel it, and usually she was quite good with these things. She and Arrax were leading their small collection of handlers and Tokotas, and was followed closely by Tagii as the younger male handler had seemed to get a little attached to her over the course of the journey, since they had met. He also seemed to be trying to stay away from his brother after yet another disagreement between the two that had occurred a little further down the mountain. Something about wanting to keep him safe probably, while the younger would argue that he was old enough to take care of himself. Mana knew that argument like the back of her hand... Liam and her had that relationship still, though he had been forced to trust her to handle herself, particularly in recent times. Unlike Tagii, Mana wasn't very good at giving up on things she wanted, so her older brother had no choice but to give her the independence she had wanted. m0 - Team EchoIt was lightly raining when the Noivern touched his feet back to the ground after the long flight over. Though he was never really troubled by the flying regardless of how long he had been in the air, being a bat Pokemon and all some would say he was practically made for it, however his partner certainly was not. A little tired, but otherwise steady on his feet, the bat Pokemon glanced down at his partner, who was much less certain with his footing as he took a step on his own for the first time in a little while, and was a little shaky, but it soon sorted itself out as these things do. This wasn't the first time they had flown such a long way, but Havoc was quite sure that he would never really get used to it.m0 - Team Echo by Pix-san
“I don't know how you do it mate... Makes me light headed.”
“That's because Cyndaquil aren't meant to fly, but I am.” Fidget flexed his wings, the action doubling up as both a simple stretch and a gesture to the small fire Pokemon of his impressive wingsp

Despite most bat mothers only having one pup a year so it being a considerably small number of offspring compared to the size of a large colony, bat mothers can find their babies among thousands or sometimes millions of other bats by their unique voices and scents. Given how noisy bats can be, that's a very impressive feat. Though a nightmare if you're playing hide and seek.
(And yet my mother always called me by my sister's name... there were only four of us... - Havoc)

The struggle is real // ExploreThe group started at the Issorartuyok Tribe camp's outskirts. Since the last time when the stranger, Michael, had most reluctantly taken Taqa out, Lucille went to look for him. She had found him after a long search and thanked him for his help. She was feeling much better and was in perfect health again. The stranger so appreciated the gesture that he volunteered to go on another trip with her. For the fun of it Lucille asked around camp if any of the other handlers had tokotas they wanted to send with her and Michael on the outing. Isiksuruk and Chance came with. In the morning the two handlers with Kesuk, Tehillah, Chance, Aylen and Isiksuruk stood at the ready to go. At the last minute Aylen was also added to the expedition by pure chance. Since Lucille's two pups were too young, she couldn't ride and both handlers decided they would walk. Surrounded by five eager tokotas, the two started their journey. Aylen was the slightest bit aggressive in an environment with two handlers she d
Large Payment Upload | Expedition 1Reaching out a hand in front of her, Naibi grabbed a hold of the rope, a rope that was attached to a galloping Usana. “Woah. Slow down there girl.” She said, holding her ground as Usana, Naibi’s tawny female, turned towards her, her head held high. “What’s the matter pretty girl?” She tried reaching out her other arm, curling her fingers over the Tokota’s tawny pelt. The somewhat tall female calmed a little at her handlers touch. Naibi furrowed her eyebrows, surely something must have happened to spook her so. Her eyes quickly scanned what she could see of the ranch however, from what she could see, no danger was present. Usana let out a small whine in response. “Shush girlie.” She comforted, ruffling the Tokota’s pelt. Deciding to investigate, she give a short tug on the lead rope, walking in the direction Usana had came from. By now, Usana had calmed down and was simply walking at her side. “Good girl.
$500/40,000 point raffle!I've been wanting to give back to the community for a long time, because I have been here a long time. 5 years, to be exact--and what better way to do so than to do a raffle?
I'm holding a raffle for $500 USD--or it's equivalent in points
One hundred for every year I have been here on deviantART. (In points, I don't really know what the equivalent is. Everyone keeps coming up with a new number, and I'm not really familiar with the points conversion system. http://comments.deviantart.com/1/553299057/3914112342 & http://comments.deviantart.com/1/553299057/3914201252) That's alotta dough, no strings attached!
